Princess Lillian and Grandpa’s Goodbye by Jenny Fulton

Princess Lillian and Grandpa’s Goodbye is a heartwarming story to help children cope with loss.

Princess Lillian visits Grandpa in the hospital, where she learns he is going to his forever-kingdom home. It makes Daddy and Lillian sad, but her grandpa seems happy. That’s when he tells her about his best friend, the Great King Above the Nations, how the Great Spirit helps us understand, and how wonderful our forever-kingdom home is.

Princess Lillian and Grandpa’s Goodbye is a beautifully illustrated story sharing the joy of everlasting life with a Navajo influence. Lillian is dressed as a princess and an Angel comforts her as she goes to say her goodbyes.

One of the lovely things about this story is that it helps us realize how similar the stories of God are throughout different cultures and how important the gift of everlasting life remains.

Highly recommended.
