Blogging at Christian Children’s Authors

Though I have reduced my blogging duties at Christian Children’s Authors, I am still involved in this wonderful blog featuring numerous Christian authors sharing their thoughts, home schooling resources, and parenting tips.

Today, I reposted my review of Chloe The Unfeathered Parrot by Regan W.H. Macaulay. This story of love and acceptance with additional resources in the back would be perfect for home schooling families.

Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot by Regan W.H. Macaulay

A sweet story about a parrot who simply needs to “find her flock” is what you’ll discover in Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot by Regan W.H. Macaulay.

Chloe lives with a man who has a busy schedule and not a ton of time to care for her. Once Chloe is brought to the Parrot Sanctuary, she is given the attention she needs and she even learns new things until she is ready to find a new home.

Macaulay continues sharing her love of animals in her latest children’ picture book. Young readers will be delighted to watch Chloe’s story unfold. The vibrant and colorful artwork by Wei Lu, who has partnered with Macaulay on Dog Band and Mixter Twizzle’s Breakfast, is stunning in this book. At the end of the story, readers will find helpful educational resources with links.

If you love birds or animal rescue stories, then Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot is the perfect choice.

Merry Myrrh The Christmas Bat by Regan W. H. Macaulay

What do you get when you combine a bat, a squirrel, and a farmhouse family during Christmas? A sweet, seasonal story that is sure to become a Christmas classic.

Myrrh is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raft, who live in the brown barn next to the white farmhouse with its big bay window all decorated for Christmas. Myrrh wants to visit the farmhouse’s Nativity scene like his parents have done year after year. When he sneaks off with the help of Sensa Squirrel, Myrrh finds himself in a spot of trouble and gets some unexpected help.

Merry Myrrh The Christmas Bat by Regan W. H. Macaulay, has been updated and published by Pandemonium Publishing House. This wonderful story that first caught my attention in 2018, is even more delightful than I remember.

Macaulay teamed up with artist Alex Zgud again to bring Myrrh’s story to life. The glorious colors that fill this book’s pages alongside Macaulay’s descriptive text paint the perfect Christmas story for this animal family settled on this farming family’s land. I fell in love all over again.

If you only buy one new book for your youngster this year, make it Merry Myrrh The Christmas Bat.

Dog Band by Regan W. H. Macaulay

Dog Band by Regan W. H. Macaulay is a delightful and creative story about a group of dogs who start a band. The challenge is that they don’t know what type of music to play, so they go about asking their friends for advice.

This is such a cute story. Between the fun text by Macaulay and the colorful illustrations by Wei Lu, this book is destined to entertain youngsters.

There is so much to enjoy about Dog Band. The band receives a variety of answers with great reasoning behind their friends’ choices. The author includes some pronunciations for readers as well, so they understand how to say different breed names.

Children who like reading stories about animals, children who have a love for music, and those who appreciate fun stories will want to read Dog Band.
