Author Hank Quense’s Writing Workshop for Elementary Age Students

Author Hank Quense realizes the importance of learning to write stories from an early age. In the years he’s been speaking in schools, he’s discovered one of the stumbling blocks kids encounter is how to develop the ideas necessary to create the story. They need ideas on character development, story setting and plot. Another challenge, he says, is how to incorporate all those ideas into the story.

Using a new software program called Padlet, Hank has recorded a talk in a series of short video clips and has put them and the supporting information onto a single web page. The webpage has no ads and videos are free to watch. You can check out the webpage at https://padlet.com/hanque/wwx4s8qsm9zw  This workshop is geared toward students grades 4 to 7.

Hank Quense writes humorous and satiric scifi and fantasy stories. He also writes about fiction writing and self-publishing. He has published 18 books and 50 short stories along with a few dozen articles. He often lectures on fiction writing and publishing and has a series of guides covering the basics on each subject.
