If your house is home to Mommy’s little helper, he or she will get a kick out of Recipe by Angela Petrella and Michaelanne Petrella.
Kristen decides it’s time she learned how to cook. So, she asks her Mom to buy her some supplies at the grocery store. Kristen is in charge, but Mom is allowed to help her make her wild and crazy recipe.
Recipe is an imaginative, funny tale of one girl’s kitchen adventures. She make this wild concoction that ends up taking on a life of its own. Good thing the raccoons will think it’s perfect. This reminds me of when my children (all three of them) were younger and would create the oddest recipes, mixing all kinds of food items one wouldn’t typically eat together.
The illustrations by Mike Bertino and Erin Althea are just as zany as the story. There will be lots of laughs with this one.
